After 15 years I decided to stop designing my personal portfolio in Photoshop entirely, and building/publishing everything using my own CSS & HTML/XHTML from scratch.

I realized I should just use WordPress to handle all of the coding, and the updates that are constantly occurring to keep everything good in the almighty eyes of Google, and just keep everything clean, simple, effective, and a responsive design to ensure that everything looks the same on any and all devices, no matter the size.

So only a little-bit of Photoshop time is really needed nowadays to update my personal site. All that is really needed to make everything look & feel right is just a little bit of CSS and minimal Photoshop work.

I like keeping things simple now, and build & complete things based from my previous experience.

“The early-bird gets the worm”… and generally wins. I am up, awake, and active 99.9% of the time, before the sun rises, 5-7 days a week, to make the most out of the limited time we all have.

Have a Plan

Know what the end-goal of everything is, and will be, when everything is built or complete. Then start the planning of everything from top to bottom.

Build the Base

Figure out how often everything will be updated, and to what extent, whether it's just going to be a common update or a complete overhaul.

Fill With Content

Gather as much great & relevant content as possible, then fill or input as much as possible, without going overboard, with maybe a few good images.

Stay Relevant

Ensure that everything makes sense and is easily understandable so that all the search engines can easily understand the content and all matches the sites intent.

Continual Optimization

Always learning and staying up to date about the newest techniques with Search Engine Optimization, and the common or Google recommended method of use.
