Some was/were very simple promos or banner work, and others were complete websites in 100% Flash that Google couldn’t read or decipher.
For promotion reasons, Flash was a very poor choice for some businesses, but good before SEO became as powerful as it is now. Other types of marketing are much better for seeking targeted audiences.
